Leah and Jack at South Ranch

Leah opts for leaves at dinnertime

Leah learns some moves from her older siblings

Leah has definitely changed the dynamics of our family. We couldn't imagine life without her. At the top is a picture of her with her cousin, Jack. They really do enjoy each others' company. Last week, Leah informed Jack that she was bigger than him, "because my Mom said I am really big!" Jack took it like a man. I'm not sure that is good practice for Leah because I think she will always be one to speak her mind. Just today she said to Sam, "Sam, can I tell you something? Your toes are gross."

The other night I made pizza for dinner. A perfectly kid friendly meal. Leah and Max were playing outside in the leaves (we don't have many). She brought some indoors. She wanted to share the beauty with everyone. She put one leaf on every plate while helping to set the table. When we each took our leaf off our plate, she gathered them and put them all on her plate. She stared at the leaves while we all ate.

Leah learns everything from her older siblings. She has learned to love BYU football and hate Utah football. She said to her nursery leader a few weeks ago, "Teacher, my friend has a Utah cheerleading outfit. And that's bad." She thinks One Direction is the most wonderful thing in the world (thanks, Cara). She has half their songs memorized. She says many words she shouldn't know and sings many songs she shouldn't sing. She is constantly playing with everything. She imagines her toys alive, and I love to hear the conversations.

I noticed tonight that the pjs she picked out were way too small. I told her it was time to send them to her cousin Stella. She said she wanted to wear them three more times. Then she would send them to Stella, "with a note with a heart on it and inside it says to wear these at night." She writes notes all the time. She puts her notes in the mailbox of our neighbor. The neighbor told Leah to watch for some mail. Leah told her what she wanted her to put in the mail. She got it.

And that is our Leah.
