Why I Love My Life

Here are a few reasons why I wake up every day thinking my life couldn't be any better:

1. Sam walks in the door from school and gets a side view of me. He exclaims, "Whoa, Mom, I can actually see your baby. Before it just looked like you were getting fat."

2. Max screamed in the parking lot at the gym because apparently, I parked too far away. So much for Bob's advice about "accidental exercise."

3. Everyday Max asks me how far away his birthday is. If it's not a number he likes, he negotiates for a shorter time (as if I can control time). By negotiate, I mean scream and yell.

4. Sam locked himself in the bathroom for two hours claiming he "wasn't coming out until I let him quit piano." Honestly, it came from nowhere. He hasn't even complained about piano until yesterday. He did come out, but not because I let him quit. Steve talked some sense into him, but also let him skip practice. Not quite sure who won that argument.

5. George stood on top of the podium again at his last gymnastics meet. And again, his parents didn't remember the camera.

6. Cara's last progress report wasn't exactly up to her standards. One D and one incomplete. When questioned, she replied, "That's old, I just need to turn something in." Steve asked if she had turned it in yet. She answered, "No." So I guess it's not old. And she wonders why we don't check her out of school to do something fun.

What's gonna happen when Max wakes up on Monday and you tell him his birthday is 364 days away?

A huge sigh of relief when Max's birthday is over! Cara, you're scaring me. Been down that road. Still on it. Just be glad it isn't high school....yet. Can't you take pictures with your camera?! then you could at least document George's amazing athleticism.

I can't believe Sam. He seems so well-mannered, but I think he might be handful in his teenage years! That is hilarious about Max being mad your parked so far away!

sorry, didn't mean to say "take pictures with your camera". I meant to say take pictures with your phone. I think I may be getting old or losing my mind but I always mix up my words. And Cara you better have a B but I would rather it be an A. After all, you're only in junior high. come on smart girl!!!
